I believe a strong emphasis on personal passion and self-motivation is the key to a successful and enjoyable musical journey. I am willing to teach anyone from a complete beginner up to an advanced level, and currently have music students ranging from 8 years old into their mid 80’s.
I am currently taking on new students, and have some availability in my 2021 teaching schedule for new students of all ages.
I am a tertiary music student studying a Bachelor of Jazz at WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts), and am going into my final, fourth year of study.
I’ve previously studied under Wayne G’froerer who is an Australian renowned Classical Clarinetist providing me with a strong technical foundation in Western Art music.
Studying with Phil Hatton who is regarded around the Perth Jazz scene for his long-spanning career and active presence on the gig scene, and for his contribution to Jazz Education both here and in America.
More recently learning with Jamie Oehlers, who is the head of the Jazz Program at WAAPA and is regarded throughout Australia for his work in Jazz, also winning the World Saxophone Competition.
Ive played in a wide variety of ensembles including the West Australia Youth Jazz Orchestra, along wide original musical projects and maintain my own jazz quartet who has appeared at various Jazz festivals around WA.

Lessons can occur at my home music studio in Como. Located very close to Canning Bridge Train Station.
I also travel to nearby surrounding suburbs if you would prefer lessons at your home or can do online video lessons via Skype or Zoom.
