About

Hi! I’m Zuben, a first year University of Melbourne student who has been playing trombone for over 7 years with experience across jazz band, brass band, wind ensemble, and orchestral settings. I love helping aspiring players grow their confidence, enjoy music, and discover what they’re capable of.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to perform in some of Victoria’s biggest school music events, both as a soloist and as part of award winning ensembles. Under my leadership as band leader, my group received a Platinum Award at the Victorian School Music Festival. I’ve been a finalist for a music scholarship as a solo trombonist. I’ve also performed with the Black Orpheus Jazz band that placed 1st at Generations in Jazz, one of Australia’s most prestigious school music festivals.

I’ve completed AMEB Grade 8 Trombone and am looking forward to teaching students from beginners to AMEB Grade 5. I’m happy to hold lessons at my place, online or go to your place. I also enjoy arranging music for soloists and ensembles, and love bringing creativity into lessons.

Please feel free to contact me for any enquiries!
