Alistair Clarke is a professional trombonist and music educator based in Canberra with extensive experience performing in jazz, commercial, concert, and community ensembles.
He teaches trombone students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions, examinations, and performances. Lessons are tailored to individual goals and may include technique, tone production, music reading, improvisation, ensemble skills, and performance preparation.
As an active professional musician, Alistair brings practical industry experience to his teaching, helping students develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a genuine enjoyment of music. He is passionate about supporting students to achieve their personal musical goals, whether they aspire to a professional career or simply wish to play for pleasure.
Lessons are available in person in Canberra and may be arranged for individuals, small groups, brass section coaching, and jazz improvisation.
