Kaylene has more than 38 years teaching and performing experience. She has held teaching positions in many schools, including Williamstown and Westbourne Grammar Schools and at The University of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. She has taught flute, recorder and music theory to students aged from 3 years up to 77 years, ranging in ability from complete beginners to tertiary level Bachelor of Music students. She has also prepared many students for AMEB flute and theory exams as well as VCE Solo and Group performance assessments. She is also a fully accredited Suzuki Flute & Suzuki Recorder Teacher. Kaylene’s teaching approach is to set achievable goals in an encouraging and enjoyable learning environment. Whether you are wanting to play a few of your favourite tunes or prepare for an audition or competition, Kaylene will give you the tools you need to be able to reach your maximum potential.
