About

Eugenie is a violinist, teacher and composer. After completing a Bachelor of Music at Melbourne University, Eugenie worked as a violinist in many professional orchestras, special highlights being performances with the Bolshoi Ballet and the World Stars Ballet on their visits to Australia. She also played in numerous music theatre productions such as the Melbourne seasons of Les Miserables as co-leader, and The Phantom of the Opera at the Princess Theatre.

Music education has been an important aspect of Eugenie’s life since the day she saw the first touring group of Suzuki students from Japan. She decided to study the Suzuki method and later became a founding member of the Suzuki Association in Melbourne.

Eugenie is the composer and author of the Possums books for violin, viola and cello, distributed Australia-wide (see Eugenie’s website: playingpossums.com). She currently teaches violin and viola in several Melbourne schools as well as her home studio in Emerald.
