About

I am an experienced instrumental music teacher, currently taking on flute students of any age, from beginner to intermediate levels. I am experienced in preparing students for AMEB exams, and am happy to teach students looking to learn solely for enjoyment or personal growth. I am also taking on music theory students, including those preparing for AMEB music theory exams, year 11 or 12 music students, those preparing for entrance into university-level music studies, or first or second year tertiary music students.

I am currently studying a Master of Music Therapy via the University of Melbourne. As such, I am well-equipped to take on students with special or unique needs, and students who need greater levels of support. I have a Bachelor of Music from the University of Queensland (Honours), majoring in composition, during which I studied flute under the tutelage of Patrick Nolan and composition under the tutelage of Robert Davidson. In addition, I have a diploma (AMusA) on the flute, and a 5th Grade AMEB music theory certificate.

I am based in Herston, Brisbane, and teach from home, or am happy to travel to students within a reasonable distance. In addition, I offer online lessons during lockdowns caused by COVID-19 outbreaks.
