Teacher Profile
Rowan is one of the ACT’s most experienced and successful teachers over the past 30 years. She has taught many students who have gone on to professional careers and won competitions.
Rowan has taught at a number of schools as an itinerant teacher until she took up a full time position at Canberra Girls Grammar School for the last 8 years.
Rowan has since returned to private violin and viola teaching.
Rowan is also a highly respected choral and orchestral conductor.
She has conducted nearly all of the major symphony orchestras in Australia and has held positions with the ACT youth Orchestra, the Canberra Youth Orchestra and is at present conductor of the Australian National University orchestra.
Rowan also conducts regularly interstate.
