I’m Austin Kimble, a jazz pianist, music director, arranger, and educator based in Austin, Texas, USA. I work with musicians worldwide online, with piano and jazz at the heart of my teaching. Together we can explore improvisation, harmony, music theory, and practical musicianship.
Bring a tune you love, a chord you want to understand, an audition, or a question that keeps following you back to the instrument. We’ll listen, play, explore, and turn that curiosity into a useful next step. Beginners, returning adults, advanced students, and working musicians are welcome.
My background includes a B.M. in Piano Performance with a Jazz Emphasis from UT Austin and work as Associate Music Director and Music Theory Lecturer in Texas State University’s BFA Musical Theatre program. I’m a two-time BroadwayWorld Austin Award winner for Best Musical Direction.
Choose a live online lesson or send a recording for personal video feedback, with demonstrations and practice ideas you can revisit. Australian students are welcome, with live lesson times arranged across our time zones. Recorded feedback does not require us to meet at the same time. We’ll agree on the scope, lesson language, and timing before booking.
