About
Teacher Profile

With over 19 years of experience in music education, I offer expert brass tuition for students aged 8 to adult, from beginner to advanced levels. My primary instrument is trumpet, and I’ve performed extensively across orchestral, jazz, wind, and contemporary ensembles. I hold a Bachelor of Music, Master of Music Studies, and AMusA in trumpet performance, and I continue to perform regularly as a freelance musician, conductor, and arranger.

My teaching style is energetic, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals. Whether preparing for AMEB exams, school ensembles, or personal enjoyment. I focus on building strong technique, musicality, and confidence. I also offer guidance in improvisation, sight-reading, and ensemble skills.

Beyond instrumental teaching, I’ve held leadership roles including Head of Music and Performing Arts Domain Leader, and I’ve taught classroom music across primary and secondary levels. These experiences have shaped my holistic, student centered approach to learning.

I welcome brass students of all ages and backgrounds, and I’m passionate about helping each player discover their musical voice.
