Teacher Profile
Melanie Wilkinson plays trumpet regularly with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and various orchestral and jazz ensembles around Hobart. She has completed her Masters of Music at the University of Tasmania and teaches trumpet at Hutchins School, St Mary’s College, Friends School and Sacred Heart College. Melanie is originally from Melbourne, has a Bachelor of Music from Monash University, Graduate Diploma of Education from University of Melbourne and has worked as a professional trumpet player and music teacher since 2006, including 6 years full time with the Royal Australian Navy Band.
