Richard is a highly experienced music educator with many years working as an instrumental music teacher in Victorian government and private schools. In my lessons I address fundamental aspects of wind playing so students are able to progress to the highest levels. Beginner to advanced players will cover all aspects of effective technique, developing range and styles from classical to popular/ commercial and jazz improvisation. My students consistently achieve outstanding AMEB exam results. Essential music theory also covered in lessons.
Richard ‘Chuck’ Probert has studied trumpet with some of Australia’s finest including Bob Venier, Geoffrey Payne (former principal trumpet Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) and Rob Smithies (former principal trumpet Opera Australia). Overseas he has performed in the UK and as lead trumpet for Princess Cruises and Celebrity Cruises including a stint on QEII. He has an extensive knowledge of jazz and contemporary styles and still performs regularly. He also utilizes music technology and producers his own original music.
