About

Courtney Schuurs is a professional violin and viola teacher located in the heart of Brisbane. Having attained her Bachelor of Music in viola performance from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Courtney’s passion for teaching and love of stringed instruments has led her to undertake a Master of Teaching (Sec) in order to further develop her pedagogical skills and knowledge. She also holds an Associate Diploma in Music Performance (AMusA) on the viola.

Courtney is passionate about teaching students of all ages and all levels. She aims to instill motivation and dedication in her students, whilst encouraging a fun and energetic atmosphere in music making. Courtney provides a fresh, young outlook to music and is constantly seeking innovative methods of learning stringed instruments. Lessons are personalised to the needs of each student and their interests.
