With over 20 years of experience as a music educator, professional singer, pianist and songwriter, Sarah brings a unique combination of professional industry experience and passionate teaching expertise to her students.
Sarah is a multi-platinum songwriter whose songs have achieved hundreds of millions of streams, global radio play and chart success. She has toured and performed internationally, including at major festivals alongside artists such as Coldplay and The Weeknd, and has performed for audiences of up to 50,000. Alongside her own professional career, Sarah has had the privilege of teaching and mentoring Grammy Award-winning and BRIT Award-winning artists, as well as number-one-selling songwriters, producers and emerging artists.
As a teacher, Sarah works with students from 4 years old through to adults, from complete beginners through to advanced and professional-level musicians. She offers one-to-one piano and singing tuition, as well as songwriting, musicianship, music theory, performance and composition. She also has extensive experience teaching small groups, ensembles and choirs.
Sarah’s speciality is songwriting, helping students develop their own ideas, find their unique creative voice and turn their musical ideas into finished songs. Her teaching combines practical skills with creativity, confidence-building and real-world industry experience.
Sarah is also passionate about music education and research and will commence a PhD in Contemporary Songwriting and Pedagogy in 2027, further developing her research into songwriting practice, creativity and how contemporary songwriting can be effectively taught.
Whether a student is taking their very first musical steps, preparing for an audition or performance, developing their songwriting skills, or aspiring to work professionally in the music industry, Sarah creates a supportive and encouraging environment tailored to their individual goals and interests.
Having recently relocated to Adelaide, Sarah is excited to continue sharing her passion for music, songwriting and education with students across South Australia.
