Yuxin (Melody) Men

Yuxin (Melody) Men is an esteemed violin teacher who splits her time between school-based education and private tutoring. From 2023 onwards, she registered her own studio, naming it Rhyme Music Education Art
Studio. She serves as a dedicated council member for the Music Teachers’ Association of South Australia (MTASA), contributing to the organisation by orchestrating events such as competitions and concerts. Melody also fulfils roles as a reviewer and conference participant, with confirmed attendance at the 2023 and 2025 Summer conferences.
She holds a Master’s degree in Performance and Pedagogy from the
University of Adelaide, awarded in 2019, Melody honed her violin skills under the mentorship of Dr Elizabeth Layton. Her pedagogical training was under the tutelage of Mr Rodney Smith OAM and Dr Emily Dollman.
During her graduate studies, she performed as a member of the Elder Symphony Orchestra and took part in a multitude of concerts.
Currently, Melody is employed as a string teacher at King’s Baptist Grammar School, Sacred Heart College, offering individual violin lessons. She also extends her teaching expertise to Novar Music Learning Centre at Immanuel College, East Marden Primary School, and Rondo Music School. As an instrumental teacher at Learning Through Music, she expertly navigates both school and studio instruction. Melody has successfully led her students in string ensembles and concert performances, and she has meticulously prepared them for
AMEB and Eisteddfod Competitions, yielding exceptional results.
